  • Any thoughts on the VW ID3 depreciation?

  • No Toyota..shocked

  • Lease lease lease end of story.

  • Mazda cx 30 review !!

  • Maybe in UK. In rest of the Europe situation is waaaay different

  • Great to know that a car that just came into the market already has a depreciation value after 3 years. You guys are wonderful. Btw, can you estimate also lottery numbers?

  • What about the Tacoma? When I bought my 2014 it was 32k after taxes and fees. In 2020 I Traded it in for 25k that's 78% value in 6 years. Your list needs to be fixed.

  • What about the landcruiser

  • really thought the gti would be on this list

  • Isn't it the case with any Ferrari after like 1985-1990?

  • Ha ha only losing 45% of the value.Ill let someone else drive it for 3 years then mop up.Some people are crazy.

  • 2017 Honda Civic Type R was 35K USD new (if you got MSRP) KBB says it's worth 30K now. So 85% of its value 4 years later.

  • Since when do mclarens hold value ?

  • Check out the first ultra car , named Chaos by spyrospanopoulos Automotive

  • Thanks Matt ☺️

  • I bought my 2015 Prado in 2020. It is now worth 29% more. Love it! 😀

  • Reading from an Autocue is not easy, but there is a trick to it... Focus on the centre of the lens and manage to move your eyes less.... get in touch if you wanna know more

  • The fact that UK financing is only 3 years and US financing is usually 5 years, and lately with increased prices is more commonly 6 years, really explains why there are more expensive cars sold in the US than the UK.

  • I always thought that vw golf is one of the cars that has a small value depreciation

  • This doesn't makes sense...

  • Why choose 3 years?

  • Have you seen prices of Suzuki jimny.,second hand about £5.0000 more than new.

  • thank you pleas revieu nissan rouge 2019 sv pls

  • I bet these calculations will all go down hill in time

  • I thought some rare 911 would hold the value better. Or maybe they’re too expensive at the beginning anyway.. But where is Yaris GR and any Merc?;)

  • Here in Pakistan 🇵🇰 toyota cars never lose even 1% but always go's 👆

  • Where is Dacia?

  • Yeah! Good luck selling an 3 year old Defender for 60% of its MARP

  • Nearly all of them are SUVs... highlights the ridiculous demand for such pointless vehicles 🙄

  • Never-depreciating but appreciating cars of Turkish Used Car Market: Hold my beer. (A volvo s60 of one of my relatives has gained value over time and now the car is even more expensive in Gold measure or dollar measure even tho its used and got older)

  • Note to self: keep buying used cars.

  • Where have these figures come from. Some of the cars have only just come to market?

  • Caterham depreciate much less than that

  • Wrong Matt! Toyota Land Cruiser Prado and JF Cruiser must be in that list

  • I had in Greece at 2011 a starlet with 180.000km i bought it for 2300euro at 2016 with 250.000km i sell it for 2500euro. TALK TO ME ABOUT VALUE

  • This has completely changed my opinion on new cars 😂

  • Where Is the hybrid RAV4?

  • Tbh i thought toyota will be in first place because in my country the land cruiser , prado, sequoia, tacoma and the tundra hold there value really well. A 2015 prado still goes for 50k $ thats mad

  • So what your saying is buy a car after three years 😁

  • Just brought a 3 year old BMW active tourer 218d auto se with 15k on clock for £12k. £12k is a sweat spot for used cars. You get the best value of both worlds.

  • Jeep Wrangler has to be in the list

  • The irritating meat willy search because partridge frustratingly turn regarding a light inventory. scary, tame siamese

  • In my country a 3 y.o. car keeps at least the 80% of its initial value! Cars are way too expensive compared to our incomes!

  • 💯🔥💙👍

  • Whats wrong with your eyes mate?

  • 02:04 that color would look wonderful on my RS3

  • 6,000miles a year? so car finance is for people who don't drive :')

  • Lol what about the laferrari. It went up in price

  • So basically, buy a 6-12 month old RSQ3 or Macan.

  • SUVs

  • Now can we do one that excludes SUV’s?

  • Too many people change their cars after 3-4 years in this day and age! Its lead to an almost disposable build quality for some brands. How about a video of models sold in 2010-2012 and, how they fare today!? I have a 03 yaris as my run around. It's in its 19th year and I can say with some certainty that a new yaris today, wont be alive in 2040! Also, a video on cult cars that have held or went up in value over the last 25yrs would be interesting. Alfa 147/156 GTAs, Golf R32s, BMW E46s, etc

  • Nevermind Suzuki Jimny after 2 years selling for RRP

  • I am not an expert, but I don't believe that the McLaren 765LT will depreciate that much. I thought it would stay roughly the same because it is that rare (only 765 cars)

  • Why are all the cars exciting 🤣?

  • if this was true, all new car dealerships would close...

  • Can you do a vid like this but on outright cost rather than percentage based? For instance whats the least expensive new car on depreciation altogether and what are the highest ones?

  • Youll only loose 50k 😂😂

  • Most of the cars your telling us mat are for people thst dont care alot on how much their loosing on their supercar 😂

  • Nah the Lamborghini urus should be number 1 , because there is a high demand and no supply they go up in value , they start from £159,000 however you can’t find one on autotrader that’s 3 years old and isn’t under £176,000

  • Go the opposite way around with the cars that you loose the most amount of money on so people like me who don't want to waste money on a car cab get a great deal on a 3-5 year old car

  • Well, back in 2017 did I find fully kitted out dacia cars from 2014 in sweden for a price of £1300 or there about. That is a 90% depreciation over 3 years. They are doing quite a lot better nowerdays

  • Should see what a 3 year old landcruiser 79 series resales for 😂. Wouldn’t believe a negative percent was possible

  • I had a Suzuki Jimny 2019 model from new, I sold it after one year of ownership for 17% more than I paid for it. Wow, what car does that!

  • My Isuzu D Max that i paid 55k for in 2018 is still pulling high 40's after nearly 3 years .

  • Fun fact here in kurdistan some cars get more expensive after about a year

  • Porsche does hold the value as the Best Gt3 3.8 or 4.0

  • Tesla holds its value ridiculously well. I have alerts on all the major used car sites, not just locally but for the whole of France. Nearly every day: 0 new cars. It makes nabbing a bargain nearly impossible. If you want one then you need to pay the price. Phillip.

  • Just don’t add £15k of options to your Macan to get it to a ‘decent’ spec. I learnt that one the hard way! Better off buying the GTS where the spec is baked into the model variant and so residual value is better versus options being written down to 0 pretty much immediately.

  • Buy a car that is looking to end production in a few yrs. I mean like supa and viper..

  • How, just how did you estimate the depreciation of Formentor? It's fresh car!?

  • Your comparison is not so good because you did not take in consideration the offer of each car , offer that the market gives. When the market has 10 used cars for sale, is normal that the price holds very well.

  • I wasn't see any Lexus-actually was expecting second place rather than unbreakable landrover what a shame

  • A Toyota innova crysta has 77% after 4 years.

  • I got a M2 :D

  • If you buy 1M then yes you are a winner

  • The car industry has gone nut's the last 15year's, massively overpriced to buy and loose a huge chunk in value the moment it's purchased. Look at the bmw comp spec, get a slightly tweeked map n sus setup for an extra 10/15grand. Matt get Joe, Yianni, and the rest, £5,000 limit best car you can get your hands on then have a shoot out to see which is the best value for money.

  • If this is in Australia, the top 3 should be all Toyotas... Camry, Prado, LandCruiser...

  • Looks like cars in the UK depcreciate quite fast... here 3 yrs / 24k miles depreciation is around 15-25% for most common cars.

  • You missed your jimny, it won’t even depreciate

  • No mention of the Focus RS? After 3 years its only lost like 20-30% from new...

  • Next we would like to see a video about cars that appreciate in value over time. Please.

  • The first time i gave a DISLIKE to CarWow... i love Matt..but this video is not accurate

  • Hold the value? Hold my Toyota

  • Is this just for the UK Market? Here in Australia, 200 series landcruisers hold their value more than any car in this list by a mile.

  • Do a 765lt vs gt2 rs vs svj

  • Thought this was going to be a video about all cars in general which are still holding a high price. And how does carwow know if the price of the new defender is gonna be 60% of its original in three years when the car came out last year.... :D PAID PROMOTION ?!

  • Mantabzzz

  • We all know the real answers: The Toyota body on frame SUVs

  • Do need to completely disagree with these statistics. Firstly the most exciting car ford makes is the GT, Secondly only 765 McLaren's will be made 🤔 more like 120k worth of appreciation. Rare supercars dont depreciate Carwow. In fact buying on of these cars and selling shortly after is one of the easiest ways of making money. Rare like Senna, Chiron, La Ferrari, 918, Chiron. These cars appreciate. Cap guide uses live auction Data BTW. A Nissan GTR would cap at 16k but in the real world it's worth 30k Plus in any Market.

  • Something miraculous happend here in Brazil with my car lol, it's a chevrolet onix and after a year and two months of ownership, only 2 or 3 months after it was launched, it worths 97% of it's original price, and that's because i chose the manual, that depreciates the most, if i had the automatic, it would worth like 102% of it's original value, it's a shame i liked the car too much and blew the 25k plus 4k miles in a year tho lol

  • No1 is Polski Fiat 126p!
